A group of young students came up with the idea of introducing “Carbonara Monday” in their student housing. From that moment on, every Monday meant one thing: fresh homemade carbonara, sometimes cooked for up to 40 people at once.
What started as a simple dinner quickly became a ritual, a community, and a reason to come together during the darkest months of the year.
Since then, the tradition has spread across the world. Wherever the former students moved, Carbonara Monday moved with them. Every Monday, somewhere around the globe, pasta is being cooked and friends gather around a table.
Veggie option? Absolutely. Just swap the pancetta for smoked tofu. Tradition stays tradition.
